My latest review for Fluid Radio is for Chicago-based band Implodes and their latest album Black Earth, due out on Kranky in late April. It’s always a nice change to do review something a little different and I really enjoyed this one. Centred around core members Matt Jencik and Ken Camden, Implodes settled into their current lineup in 2009 and began practicing and writing in isolation...

My latest Fluid Radio review concerns Neil Debnam’s Broken Shoulder project, here’s an extract; Broken Shoulder is the pseudonym of London-based Neil Debnam, who also makes up one quarter of experimental band Fighting Kites… Appearing here with his debut full length for the project, Broken Shoulder was conceived whilst Debnam recovered, appropriately enough, from that injury....

I was first introduced to the work of Marcus Fischer by stumbling upon his wonderful Dust Breeding blog, which saw Marcus do something creative every day for a whole year.
